OMG YOUTUBE!
Do you ever wonder why videos become popular on the
Internet? Or what causes certain videos to start trending? Ever ponder about
why you haven’t become the latest sensation like PSY, Jenna Marbles, or the members
of that one parody of Call Me Maybe? Kevin Allocca, the trends manager at
YouTube, takes a closer look at how videos go viral. There are a few simple
steps that cause a snippet reaching popularity on the web. Any one of us can
become famous in a matter of days, but that doesn’t seem feasible since almost
48 hours of video are uploaded every minute. Most of the time when videos are
uploaded they do not become popular until months later. So, how exactly did
Rebecca Black and Justin Bieber become super famous? Watch this TED Talk to
find out more! http://www.ted.com/talks/kevin_allocca_why_videos_go_viral.html
